Chrome Remote Desktop on the Web



Remotely using a desktop is very common these days. There are so many applications already available for this purpose like Team Viewer, Any Desk.

Google has a product Chrome  Remote Desktop app, but now they have launched a new version of this app which is more powerful and feature-rich than the older version. The older version of this app will no longer be supported after June 30th, 2019.

It supports multiple monitors and the file transfer feature will be added soon.

You can set up remote access to your Mac, Windows, or Linux computer by using this app from any other computer or from mobile (Android or iPhone) and tablet by using its app.

Then download the web installer and follow the instruction to install the application.






Now your device is ready to connect remotely. Use "Remote Access" tab to setup remote access of devices you own.



You can share your computer with someone else by clicking on “Get Support” then download and install the Chrome Remote Desktop.



Then click on  Generate Code and copy the code and send it to the person you want to have access to your computer. When that person enters your access code on the site, you will see a dialog with their e-mail address. Select share to allow them full access to your computer.you will be asked to confirm that you want to continue to share your computer every 30 minutes.
